Catalog is the official storefront from Panic, accessible both on-device and on Playdate's website, allowing people to purchase and download a curated selection of games. It was announced on the Early 2022 Playdate Update, and officially released on March 7th, 2023 alongside Playdate Update #3.

Unlike other Playdate game storefronts such as itch.io, Catalog features a selection of games hand-picked by the Panic team, including games made by Panic members, as well as games from third-party Playdate developers. Some games are brand-new and exclusive to the Catalog storefront, while others may have released elsewhere previously, or still be sold on other platforms such as itch.

Catalog's games are released in batches called "Drops", updated every other Tuesday at 10am Pacific time. The Catalog can be visited either on a Playdate device, or on the web. New batches of games are indicated by a blinking, aqua-colored light located on the device's Lock button, which lights up after checking in to Panic's servers.

===Trivia • Scenic Route Software and Strangest.io are tied for most games released on the Catalog. Scenic Route has published Shift, Greed, Generations, and Post Hero; and Strangest.io has published Shining Gadget, Shadow Gadget, Necrocrisis, and Snoik!. • Only a few other devs have multiple games on the storefront: Neven Mrgan (publisher of Hidey Spot and The Barkless Doctrine), Pixel Ghost (publisher of Life's Too Short and Time From Earth, and Dustin Mierau (publisher of Playmaker and Crankulator). • Drop 7 is so far the only drop to not follow the release pattern, as the intended drop date landed on the 4th of July; a national holiday. The drop was instead released the next day, and went back to the normal schedule by the next drop. • The Lushes Land was originally meant to be released in Catalog alongside Drop 8, but wasn't able to be included in time due to last-minute legal/financial complications. It was placed into the Coming Soon group temporarily, and officially released in Drop 9. • Faraway Fairway, Quantum Phantom Basketball, and Oom were all funded by Panic.
