This is Madeline Planet speaking straight from the heart.

It's difficult to overstate the historic nature of our current moment.

In my long career in news, I've never seen anything like it. The Bend has set into motion a chain of events whose consequences we are only now beginning to comprehend.

Many among us hope to leap into the unknown following the example set by the traveler, Mike Zero. As I speak, Zero and Birdie Telstar, with the help of The Star Sawyer, are composing a toneburst they believe will grant them safe passage.

To those of you contemplating the journey: good luck.

I cannot tell you what is wise, what is right, or what is safe. My role is to sit here at this desk and tell it to you as it happens.
