We were just talking before we went on the air.

A simple wooden toy dog with four wheels is displayed.

OTTO (CONT'D)

Would you repeat what you told me? Because it's pretty remarkable.

GUEST

Sure. So my wife's father was a bit of a dreamer.

OTTO

Oh, we love that here.

GUEST

And he always had this thing about wanting to drive a dog. I mean, like, really drive one. So this is a prototype model for a dog you can drive. He called it the Barking Brumby.

OTTO

And it actually works?

GUEST

I mean, it has wheels, if that's what you mean.

OTTO

You might not realize this, but I've been seeing an enormous interest in models and schematics for unrealized projects.

GUEST

Oh, wow. My father-in-law's got plenty of those.

OTTO

If the car had actually been made, that's another story. Nobody cares about things that exist. But the things that almost did, or never could? I can't tell you.

A hand pushes the toy - the toy is quite small.

OTTO (CONT'D)

I know I'll be getting calls about this thing as soon as this airs.

Several hands repeatedly point at the toy.

OTTO (CONT'D)

Take my card.

GUEST

(surprised)

Oh, okay. Thank you.
