NARRATOR
Welcome to CUBIS. On this episode, we answer the question, What is Television Mountain? What is it?

This unique geological feature, located outside of New Gak City is Planet Blip's primary science and telecommunications hub.

Due to its stupendous height and the lack of electromagnetic disturbance surrounding the site, Television Mountain is home to the majority of Planet Blip's consciousness broadcasting. Dozens of television engineers live and work on site. They report directly to the Planetary Television Commission, headed by Lisa Duo.

In the foothills of Television Mountain is also found the Gak City Central Observatory, which shares many facilities with the broadcasting hub.

The GCC Observatory is home to the Bender, the physical relay to the opening of the Bend space anomaly.

The observatory also maintains the very equipment broadcasting this frequency to you at a particle frequency of 66 to 72 Megazerts. Hope you can hear us loud and clear!

Speculations and theories

  • The Illustration shown during "Dozens of television engineers live and work on site " look like the 3 dancers from Subroutines. So they are engineers? Are the small antennas next to their heads Antennas?
  • ...

Comments

  • So the bend is not in space but a gate on the mountain? I was expecting people to fly to the bend with a rocket.
  • "Bender" is, of course, also a popular character on Futurama.
