"Greetings, thinkers. It's Professor Ned Telson. Here in my lab, I beam consciousness particles into neural matter long enough for a little chat."

"My guest is Xenogenes of Zenith, one of Blip's most venerable and ancient philosophers. Heya Xeno, welcome back."

"Ahhhhh!"

Ned

"Oh. uh, sorry folks- one quick adjustment."

Ned

"That feel better, Xeno?"

Xeno

"Ah. I forgot what agony it is to be alive."

Ned

"Wasn't that your whole bag?"

Xeno

"Forsooth, but this is an oversimplification for suffering is ecstasy."

Ned

"Walk us through that one, would you, buddy?"

Xeno

"Well, a deficit of desire is, of course, a form of suffering. But it also drives us to seek ecstasy."

Ned

"I see. Yeah, I see. And yet?"

Xeno

"QED: suffering is ecstasy."

Ned

"You must have been fun at parties."

Xeno

"Oh, very much so. How do you think I died?"

I can't follow Xeno here. If emotion 1 makes us seek emotion 2, they are still different emotions. If hunger makes you seek satiation, hunger still is not satiation.
