The Playdate has hollow pass-through screws in three of its corners. You can use one of these holes to secure a lanyard to the device for easier carrying and securing the device during play.

The Playdate can be protected with a bumper skin around the edge of the device, similar to skins available for phones. The skin would need to account for the crank flipping out from the right side of the device.
